Chat Safety

To offer you and your loved ones the utmost in safety online, Disney Interactive has developed a revolutionary, proprietary chat system. Computational linguists, producers and engineers have spent years developing this industry-leading chat software. Intelligent sentence structure, context detection, phrase-checking in real time and simultaneously blocking of unsafe spelling and word combinations are just some of the features included. In addition, hundreds of highly trained human moderators comb chats, so parents can feel peace of mind knowing a continually-updated system keeps their child's social experience safe.

Forum Filters

To ensure Disney Infinity forums are safe for all users, we have in place a dynamic filter system designed to detect inappropriate words or phrases. These filter lists have been built out and adjusted by our team of language specialists and are backed up by our Guest Experience Team who can update words in real time in order to keep up with the latest language trends in the community. Phrases that hit our filters are looked at by a team of human moderators who then decide whether to approve or deny the submitted posts.

Moderation

In addition to chat filters we have a team of moderators working around the clock, checking Forum posts, chat, and submitted user content to make sure your child is playing in a safe environment.

Safety Tips

Here are some online safety tips to share with your child

  • Never give out personal information online such as your real name, age, where you live, phone number or school.
  • Never share your password with anyone, except your parents or guardians. Someone else might use your password and pretend to be you.
  • If someone does or says anything online to make you feel uncomfortable, tell your parent or guardian right away.
  • Choose a nickname that doesn't give away your real name or location.
